Other sites have reports of Re-applying service pack 4 to remove this error? (course you need to be able to log in first)

"The procedure entry point NTdll.rtlfreeheap could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32dll - SERVICES.EXE.
I have rebooted and all seems fine, but I tried to look in Services to see if i had disable anything, and it was unavailable, now it has suddenly come back.
What does this mean??
HELP!!
My PC Spec is Pentium 4, 3ghz , 16.1" LCD, 1024mb Ram, 60gb HD, ATI 9600, DVD/CD-RW. Windows XP SP1, all windows updates, Sophos Antivirus etc.

Wndows XP System File Checker
Start > Run > type "sfc /purgecache" {enter}
Start > Run > type "sfc /scannow" {enter}
then hit windows update and get ALL the hotfixes ------------ FOR XP LOL
