Internet Explorer 6.0 doesn't remember passwords under Win XP

Hi,
when entering a secured website you can choose to let Internet Explorer remember your password by checking the appropriate checkbox. This works fine on our Win2000 machines, but computers with Win XP (and the same Internet Explorer version) don't seem to remember the password, even with the checkbox checked. Do we need to change anything additonal (in the registry e.g.)?

Hellofneyck, Something simple first ok :)
 In your internet settings check if you ticked the delete cookies, if you clear your internet history and cookies you have to reactivate them everytime.
Check these settings> rightclick internet explorer>properties>advanced>security>empty Temporary internet files  folder when browser is closed. If ticked untick it..
If your doing it manually  that is deleting your temporary internet files and cookies>do not delete the cookies. Cookies keep a record of your internet action including the ones for bank and any memberships.
