"This file could not be found"
I have an employee that gets the message "This file could not be found..." when trying to open a Microsoft Word document from an Internet 6.0 browser. If he saves the file to his hard drive, and then opens it it works fine. Any suggestions?

Pete,
It appears that your Error Messages... suggestion applies to earlier versions of Word than he is using (He is using Office 2003). Also this is a problem that only recently surfaced. He was not having problems until just recently.
With respect to your "Internet Explorer Is Unable..." suggestion, the problem occurs anytime not just from SSL web sites.
With respect to your "How to Configure..." suggestion, the problem is occuring when it is trying to open the document in the Office Program. It works fine if it opens the file with Internet Explorer.

SheharyaarSaahil,
I've already tried Option 2 in the "How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer..." document, but "Setup has detected a newer version of Internet Explorer already installed on this system. Setup cannot continue". When I try option 1, it asks me to install the Service Pack1 CD. This was originally a network install, and I'm not given an option to point to a Network drive.

SheharyaarSaahil,
I don't know that I can determine just when the problem started occuring (weeks or months). The machine in question belongs to our President. He is notorious for installing applications that cause strange problems. I assume that a system restore would uninstall any applications installed since the restore point, correct?
