Alright, I have read a few threads and have not found an answer that helps me.
I get pop up adds everytime I open IE. They are constant. I use google pop up blocker, I have ran spybot many times, Mesenger is disabled. I can close all apps, walk away and come back several hours later to find a bunch on my screen. I can run mozilla and no pop ups, but as soon as I open IE the first time I am doomed until I logoff and back on. When I open IE I can hear the click every 15 seconds and google pop up blocker may block about half of them. When I exit IE they appear to stop but it seems that they just slow down. This has not alway occured and I realize something is running in the back ground so I am looking for a way to find it and delete it. These adds are appearing as an IE window.

In addition to sunray_2003 comment. You might also want to try TrendMicro's Housecall thats a free scan. It finds viruses and spyware/malware. I usually have to use Spybot Ad-aware and Housecall to completely remove all instances of spyware/malware. Also something like Norton's Internet Security does a really good job at blocking spyware/malware installs, so you may want to invest in a product like this.

It sounds like you have a trojan of some type loaded on your machine. I have seen a trojan that will load pop-ups all by itself (which would explain your "I can close all apps, walk away and come back several hours later to find a bunch on my screen.").
I would search the computer and list all services that are running and disable those that do not need to be running (this may involve some registry tweaking and/or services tweaking).
I believe you will find the answer to your problem by following the above steps. I recently removed 4 "suspicious" programs that were running as services on a friends machine - which was also auto loading webpages and pop-ups. I have also seen instances where these programs were not detected by virus scanners or adware/spyware scanners. These programs were running as normal programs.
