LSASS.EXE
Good evening
I have an end-user XP machine that does not have recovery console installed and now will not boot. (I inherited the problem)
I am getting a LSASS.exe error message on bootup.
I don't believe the recovery console is installed.
Suggestions?

You will need access to another system (other than the affected system) that has Internet access and six blank/formatted 3.5 inch floppy diskettes.
Log on to the Internet (on the second system), and navigate to the following Microsoft site:

Download the file to the desktop on the second system, and then double-click the icon for the file.
It is a self-extracting diskette creator and will prompt for each of the six diskettes.
Once the diskettes are created, take them back to affected system, and insert Diskette 1 into the floppy drive.
Power the affected system on.
After booting to the first of the six diskettes, insert the Windows XP CD in the CD drive.
Insert and eject each of the remaining diskettes as the computer prompts.
After the sixth diskette loads, a prompt for the Type of XP setup appears.
