I'm assuming you are not able to goto File --> Exit or hit the X at the top right hand side of the screen so you can also hit the ALT key and the F4 key and it will close.  If you are in Win2k/WinXP you can hit ALT, CTRL, DEL at the same time and then go to task manager and goto the proceses tab and click on the entry for iexplore.exe...it should now be highlighted in blue.  Then click the End Process button at the bottom of that window.

Hi

Like bmlbytes said, the best way is to click the X in the top right hand corner.

Other ways are to press Alt+F4, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and go to Processes and click on IEXPLORER.EXE and click end process, you can go Ctrl+Alt+Del and go to Applications, click your window and End Task...
