Similar to my "Google toolbar" question, this involves the address drop down listing in IE 6.
How can I get rid of specific entries in that drop down list?
Thanks in advance.

If you want to delete only some of the typed url's that appear you wll probably have to delete them from the registry. They are called mru's
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\In
After deleting entries in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\In
you must close al browsers and reopen IE. after you reopen it, click on the drop down box and the deleted entries will not be there. However, that does not mean they won't appear if you start typing an address in the address bar. You would need to disable auto complete or clear the history to remove that.
I am assuming that you don't want the addresses ion the address bar to show up and that you want to delete the existing one. If that is the case then do the following:
In the Internet explorer browser on the menu at the top go to Tool>Internet Options
or
Right click on the Large Blue E on the desktop and select properties :)
Then
Select the content tab at the top
then
Select the auto complete button
Then
Untick the web addresses button and click on the clear auto complete button
You also may want to uncheck the other tow boxes on there, that removes auto complete history on web forms and and passwords on web forms.
Good luck :)

As The_Master_Chief says above, the way to get rid of individual entries is to edit the Registry. Type REGEDIT in the Run dialog box off the Start Menu, then navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
You will notice that they are numbered url1, url2, etc.. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want the remaining addresses to show up in the list when you delete one or more unwanted ones, you will need to renumber so that the entire sequence is preserved.
