low disk space

We have a dell xps 600 computer. With Partition Magic the original 10g hard drive is dual boot with 98 and XP about 5g each. I added a 40g hd for extra storage. We now mainly use the XP partition and have started getting the "low disk" message. We run cleanup and have removed programs but the XP partition still fills up again. What is a good way to take advantage of the 40g drive we put in and get things running smoothly again. Thanks.
