Question

Can not install/uninstall programs

Hello,

I downloaded and instaleld Tweak-XP Pro, bad choice.  I was unable to run task manager and after searching experts-exchange I solved that problem, but now I can not install or uninsatll programs, they all just hang.  Please help!!!

when you installed Tweak-XP Pro it made an entry to your regestry.  You can go into your regestry if you feel brave and go to the run and delete the trash app.  Careful

ok, wait, I will have to get this imformation at work.  Tomorrow I can scan and sent you step by step instructions if you want.
start<run<regedit<ok
not sure what sub disvision it will be till tomorrow.
It would be part of run.  It would start up when you start up your computer.

just to cut you off, I have looked under My Comptuer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and all the programs and all the strings there are ones I now are legit.  

Or maybe I could be wrong...

uninstalling programs can be done with other programs such as advanced uninstaller pro 2004 by innovastive solutions. its on download.com
