After about 90 minutes, I loose access to the Internet and get the statutory “page can not be displayed “ error message

After about 90 minutes, I loose access to the Internet and get the statutory “page can not be displayed “error message. However my Peer to peer (e-donkey session) and windows messenger still function, I find that the only solution is to log off or reboot.

I have tried via cmd

Ipconfig/release
Ipconfig/renew

Which are processed but have no effect!

Any ideas?

if it doesn't work then If you are using any firewall....uninstall it from your system.... and then try to check for the problem..... if its gone then you can reinstall the firewall software!
also if you can use your internet connection under safemode with networking..... its a good practise to notice the problem there! :)

This is definitely a spyware probelm.

Try connecting to the internet using an alternate browser like firefox.
If you can connect to the net using firefox than you may have to reinstall IE.

If applicable: In your network card settings increase your 'burst length' and speed type (from autosense to some other number) in the configuration of the card in network properties

Question: Are you running on a netgear router?

if so: Try downloading the newest firmware for it.

I've had this exact problem before. Try running spyware and virus scanners. I reccomend Lavasoft's Ad-Aware, Spybot search and destroy, and AGV antivirus, which are all free.

This problem was caused by Norton Firewall 2003, I noticed that it worked fine until I live updated it, after that it would cut the Internet connection after 90 minutes
