space is set at 916mb, permissions are set to medium. used to have cookies and no settings have changed. recently had a virus attached to recycle bin that made anything i sent to the recycle bin disappear. Could the missing cookies be because of something similar? btw i have run every online virus scanner and pc comes up clean. have no spyware trojans etc. possible thats its a corrupt o/s?
I think the cookies are down to IE, so why not try an IE fix first, Goto: start/control panel/add remove software/find IE in the list and click it now click on the repair option.
You can fix the OS system files also by going to: start/run/now type SFC /SCANNOW.
this will fix any currupted system files.
