Question

when I go to yahoo.com the browser FREAKS!

I am setting up a brand new computer from DELL.  WIndows XP, sp2, IE latest version, all windows updates etc.

IE works fine until I go to Yahoo.com.  then while loading, it gets about 2/3 loaded, it kinda hangs with the cursor and hour glass flickering and the address way at top of window and bottom of window flickering.  you can't do anything in the window.  I click the x in corner to close out and it sits there for 30 secs or so then finally closes. this happens everytime i go to  yahoo.com with this computer. any ideas?

Hi,

Try deleting temporary internet files and cookies from under internet options. You may also have som spyware issues try running one of the following and remove any identified nasties to see if that helps.

thanks for the help but I did clear files and cookies. i don't see how it could be any malware since this is the first time i've booted this computer up really.  it is a ghosted image. i've setup up dozens of others just like it and they all worked fine.

Hi,

If you still have the image try installing it again and see if the issue resolves itself. Or try to reinstall IE to see if that helps.
