Browse All TopicsI've a problem with WinXP Pro Sp2 and the start menu.
If I click on Start->All Programs and then right click any of the programs or program folders, the context menu doesn't appear. Actually it seems to apper for an istant (not long enough to read anything but it seems to blink).
Also if I click Start and then right click on My Computer, I don't get the context menu with Open...Manage...Properties
I've checked for malware, found 2 adware and appearently removed all bad stuff (spybot, NAV, the microsoft anti spyware and SysInternal Rootkitrevealer all report the system as clean).
Any ideas?
Maybe this is something configurable in WinXP but I can't find how to reconfigure it to normal beheaviour, I've checked the local group policies but can't find any policy related to this (however the list is so long that I can have missed it).

Right click on an empty space of your Taskbar and select Properties. Click on the Start Menu tab. Make sure you are using the XP Start Menu rather than the Classic Menu. Click on the Customize button. Then click on the Advanced tab. Make sure there is a check mark next Enable Dragging and Dropping in the Start Menu Items area.. Click OK.
