I can't even get into Windows XP, that is why I am doing a repair. Should I go in via dos and delete the files in the directory?

XP Repair Failure. Missing files......
Hi there,
Has anyone had it where you go to repair XP and it comes up with the following error message half way through:
Setup cannot copy the file: rsaenh.dll
To retry, pres ENTER.
If you are installing from a CD, make sure the Windows XP CD isin the CD Rom drive.
To skip this file, press ESC blah blah!
I checked and pretty sure the CD is in the CD Drive.
I was thinking that maybe this file is not on the CD for some unknown reason, so I copied the existing XP Cd and copied that file everywhere. Didn't seem to work though.
Where is XP looking for this particular file. I can put it on the CD in the correct folder.
Does anyone know what I need to do, I've tried 4 different XP CDs.

I've run into a problem where the intall get a good part of the way through and is copying files, and cannont find a certain file - no particular pattern to the feil. I have tried a know good disk and get a different file that cannot be copied. After start install over several time from different media, I found that the only consistant fix was to replace the CD drive itself. I even had a new drive from the factory do this. Worth a try.

hi i would sugeest you to skip this file at this point in time and extract it later through system file checker utilty if you are still apprehansive here is small ifo on rsaenh.dll
The file rsaenh.dll, is required by windows and is used to perform 128-bit RSA encryption and decryption. If you access encrypted files, use VPN or any other operation that requires encryption you should leave this file. Otherwise it can be removed/stopped.

War1 - you were spot on. At first, I thought that the temp folder couldn't be full and sort of skipped your response but ends up that it what the problem was.
I used the ntfs4dos tool to go in via command prompt. I deleted the C:\Windows\temp folder and the c:\temp folder. As soon as I did the repair, anything copied across perfectly.

Setup cannot copy the file: rsaenh.dll may be cause by Temporary Internet Files being full. Empty the Temp Internet Files folder and Temp folder.
