Question

macffee says I need a winsox2, can't enter password after running Adware

Asked by: d_may

Hi, wife ran Adware, had three problems, and corrected them.  This morning she went to sign in her password and the macaffee scan said she needed winsox2, click here to take you to the url to download winsox2.  Clicking it opens internet explorer and (page not found).  restarted, and now can not sign in as admin on the sign on page.  (Did you forget your password.)  Went to safemode, found a keyboard error.  I need instructions to correct this winsox error and to be able to sign in on the sign on page.  Thanks d_may

That is where I get mixed up.
Now the network is no longer looking it is yellow triangle.

Dear War 1,

No I have not had a chance to complete the winsox fix.
I can sign in, but the network is all messed up.
I deleted the winsox fix after saving the reg file to my documents.
I am asking these questions from my computer not hers.  She can not connect to the internet.
Winsox and winsox2 deleted from the reg

This winsock fix would reset the TCP/IP part that you did not finish, and it will do it automatically.
