About 6 months to a year ago NAV 2005 would install and then on reboot would get an error. It was very frustrating the first time it happened, at a customers. Had to take the pc back to the shop. Found out it was happening to everybody else, for awhile Norton did not know what was going on. Then it never happened again. Must have been something in the software. I do not remeber the error. There was eventually a patch. You may want to try Symantecs web site. There is also a program they have called RNAV that will remove all the left over traces of NAV.

Sometimes when you uninstall Nav Anti-virus, it does not remove all the hooks. Uninstall Nav 2005. Then use this utility to remove the rest.
http://service1.symantec.c
Then reinstall Nav 2005 and see if you get the path
Cheers!
