Shutting down Windows XP using Remote Desktop

I am remoting into my comptuer in my office but when I goto close it down this option has gone and I can only disconnect, is there anyway that I can shut my computer down whilst I am logged in remotely ?

go to start and then run

type = shutdown -f

that should do it. to reboot it would be shutdown -r -f

or you can do this but I find the first answer much easier.

1. From emulated computer desktop, point to Start, Windows Security
2. Click Shut Down tab select Shut Down
3. from the drop down menu and click OK

Shut down will close all applications and shut down your computer.
Confirmation is required to avoid accidental shutdown.
