Browse All TopicsHi,
I have noticed that when I open the System restore tool, there opens a window but nothing written within. It is completely blank. The error message that pops up says
"An error has occurred in the script of this page.
Line: 60
Char: 3
Error: Object required
code: 0
url: hcp://system/sysinfo/msinf
Also, when I open services tool (Control panel->Administrative tools-> Services), it is partly blank.
The error message says,
"An error has occurred in the script of this page.
Line: 31
Char: 12
Error: Object does not support this property or method
code: 0
url: res://c:\windows\system32\
Could someone help me how can I restore my system back to a previous date? By the way, as far as I remember, I installed (then uninstalled) Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 a few days back. Could it be the reason?
Thanks.

To give some more inputs:
The file jscript.dll in the C:\windows\system32 folder is of version 5.6.0.8825.
The same file is there in other two folders:
In folder C:\windows\$NtServicePackU
and in C:\windows\ServicePackFile
Could it be that while installing Microsoft Visual Studio, it installed jscript.dll with the new version 5.6.0.8825 in the system32 folder and this new file does not work when I open System restore tool and get a blank window instead?
How can I overwrite the new jscript.dll file in system32 folder with an older version? (It creates itself). Thanks for your time.
