Thread re-posted here from the Outlook section at the suggestion of eeshahidt.
Hi,
I am using Windows XP Home edition with Office 2003.
Whenever I log on, Outlook will automatically start.
Outlook is not listed in the startup folder, neither is it listed anywhere in msconfig, or the registry (under either HKLM or HKCU/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Wi
ndows/Curr
entVersion
/Run or RunOnce)
There don't appear to be any errors whilst launching - there's nothing in the event viewer anyway.
There was a similar issue posted on here
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Applications/MS_Office/Outlook/Q_21015369.html?query=outlook+starts+automatically&topics=134 - however the issue was abandoned as no one replied - unfortunately, the solutions proposed haven't helped.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
James

Maybe some other program is also loading up Outlook, probably some other Office Program. Is any MS Office program starting up with Windows. I am saying this because of the experience of Hotmail automatically loading Windows Messenger and not letting it to shut down until Hotmail window is closed.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
On startup - there don't appear to be any other Office applications starting. Below is a full list of the startup section of the registry:

I can't see anything obviously office related here. I've checked each one in turn (except those under the "OptionalComponents" section - haven't found anything that useful yet) and they all seem unrelated to Outlook or Office.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
James

Also make sure it is not in the ALL USERS startup folder

Thanks but unfortunately there is nothing related in the ALL USERS startup folder either.
I don't know if it is related but I have just noticed that Norton Anti-Spam is not loading properly in Outlook and each time the "COM Add-Ins" box for the "Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plugin" is checked it becomes unchecked once Outlook is closed and re-opened.
James.
