Hi experts,
I made a bit of a mistake last night while trying to delete a partition I didn't want... I deleted a logical partition and now the system won't boot. The system is running Windows XP but it was dual-boot with Ubuntu Linux. Linux was installed on the second partition (one of the ones that was deleted, but not the logical partition). When Linux was installed, the GRUB boot loader took over the boot process, allowing you to select between XP and Ubuntu on bootup. Perhaps this "Logical partition" that was deleted from within windows was used by GRUB? I don't know. Does anyone have suggestions of what programs to execute? I have a working boot CD (the Ubuntu Live CD), but I'm not familiar with the Linux commands for changing boot records. Any ideas? The error on bootup is as follows:
GRUB Loading stage1.5
GRUB loading, please wait...
Error 22
Thanks
