I want to use The KEYWORD feature in Windows XP home to locate photo files.
If I right click a photo, select properties, summary, and simple and add keywords like dick, jane, puff, spot click OK
I want to be sure I am entering the keywords correctly. Do I use a comma, just a space or how do I separate multiple keywords?
Now how do I enter the keyword or a combination of keywords to find the files? For example to find a photo of dick and jane What do I put into the search box? How do I enter a search for dick & jane but not spot? I can find a file for a single keyword but am not having success with multiple keyword searches.

thats fine for a single key word but how are multiple keywords entered and how are they searched? dick jane spot are key words how do you search dick and jane? how do you search dick jand but not spot?
i want to be able to search my photos for entered keywords in any combination eliminating other combinations.

I'm sorry, there doesn't appear to be a way to do multi-keyword searches...I'd be a shame if MS didn't put that ability in!
But there is a way to assign the same keywords to many files at once:

There are third-party utilities that can work better than the built-in utility though.
Search on Google for e.g.: file search utility
Add "freeware" to that search to search for only free ones

(What I use is http://www.pspad.com/ for searching for text files, not images, though)
There are also many programs that help you to organize & search for image files alone. Again, ask Google or answers.com or askjeeves.com or metacrawler.com ...
As for keywords, you may to test the utility you choose to see whether it supports XP's keywords search, or it may say it in the manual.

Either space or comma works, I just tried it
To find files:
Start -> Search -> Pictures ->
- Put check on "Pictures and Photos"
- Enter only one keyword in the "All or part of the file name" field
- Or click "Use advanced search options" & then enter a keyword in the "A word or phrase in the file"
