We have three identical setups of the above, but have experienced serious problems with one of them - the two other are operating flawlessly.
All worked fine for about a week, then we started having increasing problems with the serial port (iLO was disabled.) Eventually we got hold of a USB-to-Serial adapter and used this one instead - it worked fine. About a week after this the computer got a blue screen and since haven't started completely.
Starting now brings up the "Safe mode or normal" screen and no matter what you choose brings up the Windows loading logo briefly until displaying a new blue screen:
INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR
STOP 0x000000A0 (0x00000101, 0x00000007, 0xF899F74C, 0x00000000)
I disabled the onboard serial port and now the BSOD trap is this:
STOP 0x000000A0 (0x00000101, 0x00000007, 0xF89A774C, 0x00000000)
In order for HP to do something about it I need to know what hardware component is broken. Can anyone read anything from the error trap?

No hibernation or similar. Have previously looked at the KBA you are referring to.
All OS patches and sp's installed.
We have tried various keyboards, and even without one, to no avail.
Please keep in mind the initial serial port issues - could be a bad "omen."
A complete OS reinstall has also been tried.

Hi risoy,
Two questions:
Are you allowing any kind of 'Power Saver' actions (hibernation, etc); and
Have you run all patches, SP's, etc.?
Good Luck,
