Operating system: Windows XP home
Processor: Pentium4, 2.5 Ghz
Memory: 512MB
Hard disk: 65% if free at the moment
None of the program is to set to run at start-up (Except Northern antivirus)
But it’s still running very slowly. I have update Windows xp and antivirus.
I also done the full virus scan as well. There is no virus.
I have already donethe following
Disk Defragmenter
Disk Cleanup
Error-Checking (C drive)
I went to (Start->Run->msconfig), choose startup tab and uncheck all unnecessary programs that load up. Keeping all Microsoft related products though.
Dear friends is there anything, I haven’t done to bring my PC to the normal speed.
Please give some different ideas

Greetings, mysiva !
1. Spyware and trojans could also slow your computer.
Run Ewido to remove trojans.
http://www.ewido.net/en/
Run SpyBot S&D to search your harddisk for so-called spyware

or
Adaware

2. If you are using graphic programs or RAM intensive programs, more RAM will increase your speed.

Take a look at this.
Hi friends,
Thanks for your feedbacks.
I asked the same question in different places.
But no one gave me a proper solution
Everyone wants me to loose the Windows XP feature or Northern antivirus.
However now I got an idea from this website
That is, If we use any software to
Empty registry key,
Remove windows start up programs
Uninstall entries, File/Path references
And so on
It will improve the PC performance
The one I’m using now is [http://www.regcure.com/] now is in reasonable standard (Not like a new one, But Just got better)
Thank you
