is what you will see, unless there are other entries with similar names: in that case you could see Progra~2 or Progra~3 and so on. Anyway, are you sure that you need 8.3 format? What are you trying to achieve? Is it possible that you only need to eliminate blank spaces from the path, or otherwise use quotation marks?
