xp displays 0 search results

Hello,

A user mentioned to me that when he does a search using the search feature in xp nothig gets displayed. He is searching locally and on the network. The search is for files and folders. He showed me and nothing is displayed in the search results. So i do a search on my computer locally and results are displayed. If i do a search on the lan then nothing is displayed. The search result found nothing. So if i search on the root of a network drive a folder called data (and it is there because i see it in the mapping) xp returnss nothing found.
