Brand new, external usb hard drive is invisible in XP

I have a new Seagate Barracuda 320gb hard drive I put in a usb enclosure. I plugged it in, it was recognized and installed but it does not appear in Explorer.

I am running on a fully updated XPSP2 system, Shuttle XPC with a 2.53MHz Celeron.

What do I need to do to make the drive usable?

Hello MON,

Right click my Computer > Manage > Disk Management  > Right click the drive and assign it a drive letter.
