Browse All TopicsI have a well-known error on start-up which is that windows cannot start due to a corrupt or missing root\system32\hal.dll file. I previously concluded I may have a bad hard drive, so I replaced it with a new one, proceeded to install Windows XP, but I got the same error!
I tried various Microsoft suggested solutions like bootcfg /rebuild and fixboot but to no avail. Please help!
