Browse All TopicsI looked at a friends Windows XP Home computer. It was running very slow to boot up. Once It fully did boot up I couldn't even get any programs to run. I went ahead and ran AdAware 2007 on it and it took alot off. However, it did not take off everything. When I selected some other things for AdAware to take off it displayed administrator rights wouldn't let me do that. But just taking off some items did speed it up a little. It was hard to get into a program. I did a Ctrl+Alt+Del and didn't see any Applications. When I went into processes. It showed WinWord.exe at 99%. When I chose to end that process it was easy to load a program. And everytime I restarted the computer it always showed WinWord.exe at 99%. But, before and after I ended that task. The icons and taskbar kept disappearing. And then coming back on for about five seconds. And then disappearing for five seconds continuously. I don't know why this Microsoft Word 2003 was taking up 99% of the processing all the time. And don't know what is causing these icons and the taskbar to disappear. And then reappear. The only thing I saw consistantly was the background. What do I need to do to fix this?
