This is baffling. On a SBS2003 domain with 8 workstations I have one desktop\user whose machine spontaneously and instantly reboots with growing frequency. No warning, just blink, screen is out and next thing you see is post screens. 5 machines are the exact same model specs and have never done this. A few odd Dell machines that have never done this. I have been struggling with this issue for months. I have swapped hard drives with one of the identical machines and the problem stayed with the user. The other user has never had a reboot after the swap. So I completely formatted and reloaded the problem users machine and within a couple weeks the issue was back. The user has identical domain permissions to other users. They do not have desktop admin privileges. I have updated all firmware and drivers on her machine. I have eliminated the few differences such as external USB card reader. I have given her brand new mouse and keyboard. All users including problem user are on brand new APC800 batteries. It does not seem to matter what programs are open and in fact it has rebooted with no programs open. Sometimes is once a week and sometimes 3 times in one day. I will attach the mini dump files that get generated after the fact. There are no log files of use except a very persistent DCOM 10006 error that everyone gets due to a proprietary plotter server machine on the network. Antivirus is Panda Business Secure Exchange and stays up to date with regular scans. I have kept OS patches up to date. Please help, as I said I am baffled.
