How can I make editing my PATH (on XP) less cumbesome?

Asked by stevefromc in Windows XP Operating System

On WINDOWS XP, I am trying to modify my (default) path.

I right-click on My Computer, then go to
Properties
Advanced
Environment Variables

PATH appears to be a variableon the lower half of the screen, under SYSTEM VARIABLES.

Problem is that my path is VERY LONG,  far far longer than can fit in the dialog box, so editing it is quite awkward.

Is there an easier way to do this?
Thanks
-Steve
