after logging on explorer.exe starts and then stops and starts and stops etc...

Hi All,

I have a Win XP machine that once any of the users logs on the icons & taskbar show and then dissappear and then show again and then dissapear..etc..  Looking at the task manager it seems that explorer.exe is starting and stopping again, and starting and stopping..ok, you get the picture.. :)

I am currently running a check for stinger virus..but i just wondered if any of the experts here had come across this before and found a solution other than re-installing.
I can work in safemode but that is it. I have run Hijack This and the log is below.

any guidance would be appreciated.
