Change name of user / account name / profile name in windows XP Home

I have a laptop in my name with "mat" being my account name and all my documents in the "documents and settings" folder in a folder called "mat".  I want to keep all my documents and settings the same and have changed the user login name to "john" for my father but would also like to change the folder name in docs and settings to "john" however it says this folder is a system folder and can not be changed.

So i assume I can not change this so alternatively I can create my father another account in his name and transfer all of my docs and settings.  Can anyone help please?

As you are using XP Home.  You need to boot in safe mode to logon as the administrator

During bootup press F8 and select Safe mode
LeeTutors:  Good Doc.

One issue I see is that it is saying to remove the following file.
 Ntuser.dat
 Ntuser.dat.log
 Ntuser.ini

These file hold the setting specific to the user that are loaded into the registry
The files have security applied to them that restricts there use to that Logon ID.
