Browse All TopicsI have a basic answer file which I made with setupmgr.exe. It worked fine when I tried it with floppy. Now I'd like to make a little addition to answer file.
How can I configure the answer file to do the partitioning for me. I have one 80GB HDD in my PC.
For example:
Partition 1: 30GB (ntfs quick format)
Partition 2: 45GB (ntfs quick format)

Purely using the answer file, you cannot automate multiple partitions.

But you have three other options.
You can add AutoPartition=0 in the [DATA] section of your answer file. This will prompt the user for partition creation during setup.
Or, you can include a [GUIRunOnce] section, to run a batch file from, during setup, utilising diskpart (syntax: http://technet.microsoft.c
(this I have not validated, though)
Or - you can use BartPE to boot up, partition the disk how you want, then install windows:
