How to enable temporary user-installed application updates/upgrades?

Asked by snowdog01 in Windows XP Operating System, Operating Systems Network Security, Microsoft Operating Systems

Out domain Policy prohibits users from installing any applications onto their computers.  We are rolling out an update this weekend that we want to install when the user logs into their PC on Monday morning.  This application will install silently but has to have permissions to do the installation and must also register several DLL's during the process.

How can we enable the users to do this installation for Monday and then take the permissions away again on Tuesday?Start Free Trial
