DNSRegisteredAdapters RedKey got deleted

Asked by docbook in Windows XP Operating System, Domain Name Service (DNS), Internet Protocols

Tags: Microsoft, Windows, XP

We ran some 3rd party script on our computers and it deleted the following Registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\DNSRegisteredAdapters

Now our windows XP machine don't register with DNS anymore.

Is there a way to recreate this key on the affected computers?

System restore is not an option for us, as there are just too many computers, and we really don't know when the script was actually ran on the computers. :-(
