Windows Updates do not install

Windows XP Professional SP2 is installed on a computer.  IE7 was not allowing me to go to different websites.  I uninstalled IE7, went back to IE6, and now I'm able to browse anywhere.  However, I am no longer able to do any Windows updates at all. I keeps telling me that the updates have failed.  I renamed the Software Distribution folder under the windows directory, but it still does not work.  Any other suggestions?Start Free Trial
