getting error irql not less or equal.. widows desktop comes up fine, then BSOD's

Need to get this system back up and running ASAP.. thus my asking it as a question and not rsearching. I simply do not have the time to search.  I was able to boot into safe mode.. it waits a bit longer before bsoding then.  I cleaned up startup, and when I went to run AVG (in safe mode) it BSOD'd again.  Rebooted, about 20 seconds after desktop appears it BSOD's again.  Stop error 0x0AStart Free Trial
