The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. I have an XP Pro box that experiences a peculiar problem a couple of times a day.  The system will mysteriously and randomly blue screen on the user, then reboot without warning.  In the XP event viewer I found the following event which seems to associate with the problem:
Event Type:      Error
Event Source:      System Error
Event Category:      (102)
Event ID:      1003
Date:            3/10/2008
Time:            12:47:05 PM
User:            N/A
Computer:      MAIN
Description:
Error code 100000d1, parameter1 00002ca4, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 f838f345.
