I have a Toshiba Quasimo G30 Notebook which has SATA disks. XP sp2, installed with purchase. Problem is, I got a message from my security software saying that it had cleaned a virus, told me to reboot and since then I've not been able to get past .mup sys in safe mode. So far, I've tried loading XP via boot disks, bought a floppy drive to do this. Tried using Intel Manager to install the SATA drivers (press F6 to do it), but when I get to the blue XP screen asking if I want to repair or install XP it won't do either, just get a message saying that no hard disks are installed. Spent over two weeks trying to sort this out, don't want to loose the files on the machine if I can help it (haven't backed them up!). Really don't know what to do next or even if I'm installing the right SATA drivers, got them from Toshiba's website but XP still isn't booting. Would really be grateful for some advice, wondering if throwing it through the window would help, make me feel better at least. Thanks.
Thanks
