The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. User profile cannot access any programs; appropriate permissions

I am working on a computer that has 3 users on it.  The computer was infected with a lot of spyware and virus' however now I think it is clear.  The main user account can access everything and everything runs like normal.  However the other user account can't access any program's exe.  When I try to run any program (word, outlook, control panel, display properties, etc), I get the error:

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file.  You may not have appropriate permissions to access the item.

I have done a lot of searching and trying different things however I can't get around this problem.  It seems like something on the computer is blocking this user from accessing these items.  I have un-installed every anti-spyware program on the computer.  I am running Norton Corporate.  Previously it was running Norton Security but I uninstalled that.  Start Free Trial
