Windows Registry and Printers

Some PCs in the company i work for have trouble printing from Tray 4 on a Canon IR multifunction ecopier. the one in question just now is called ED-CANONIRC-CLR-11733
To fix this i can just export the settings from a working machines registry and import it to the machine needing fixed.

i am wanting to create a more perm fix so I am comparing the 2 reg files (attached)
the main difference I can see is a binary data item called "DEVMODE" which contains a hex entry on the working machine.

What is devmode? Could this be the cause?
Can you maybe spot the cause of the problem for ED-CANONIRC-CLR-11733 in the reg files?

Once i import the working registry the problem is fixed.Start Free Trial
