i'm using XP Prof SP2
my laptop was all working fine and before i restart i did uninstall couple of applications like nero/raxio.....
then i reboot my machine.. when i reboot my machine i see a strange behaviour i see that welcome XP screen and the suddently a blue screen which goes so fast i dont even know what is there in that blue screen and then it backs to the standard options:
safe mode
.....
.....
boot last good options... (some to the effect) i dont really remember the exact wordking but you know what i'm talking....
boot in normal ....
when i select boot normal then i see the blue screen and then reboot by itself and then i again i get the above options...
i have tried with all other optins and none of them worked
then i put the xp prof cd and boot from that cd and i click on Repair and it install the bunch files and reboot by itself and then looking for this file "NT5INF.CAT" i try to give the path like c:\i386 did not take and i try all sort of options but no luck then i thought may be the xp cd i does not have the XP with SP2 so i insert the another cd with SP2 on it and then i get this screen
error:

you can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the orginal setup cd-rom
