Remote Computer Managment  Problem

Asked by Powerhousecomputing in Windows XP Operating System

I would like to manage a networked computer, through computer managment. I can connect ok with the IP, however i get an error code 5: access is denied when i click on services. I have a local account with admin rights on the machine i would like to access. I was wondering If i could use those local log on credentials and whether that would give me access. If so, how can i tell computer management what credentials to use when it connects. The pc i am connecting to is XP home edition. I am connecting from an XP Pro system.Start Free Trial
