XP - SP3 (KB936929): REAL OR FAKE???

Microsoft Update claims there is an update for KB936929, XP - Service Pack 3. The file is a little over 66mb in size. Twice I have attempted to download and install the update, and it crashed.
I was able to download a file that's larger (139 mb), but I think it is a developer's version of the alleged update.
Is this update legitimate or a virus fake?
I seem to have trouble with the 66 mb version, should I install the downloaded "developer version"?
