  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. BSOD physical memory dump

I've been getting BSOD error messages on startup, with physical memory dump and the codes

0xc0000005, 0x804ef15a, 0xba50b734, 0x00000000

It's happened several times on first startup, shutting down the computer and re-starting has been working until today, when I got the same message on three successive startups.
 
I've also gotten a few "system has recovered from a serious error" messages.

I'm on a Dell desktop XPS400 running Windows XP Media Center Edition, SP2. No new hardware installed recently, no new software except for AVG 8.0. But I believe the error messages started before AVG was downloaded.

How do I attach the minidump file? .dmp doesn't appear to be allowed.
