Acer Laptop .NET Framework AcerMemCheckService

I have an Acer laptop that gradually get slower and slower. After re-imaginging it gets back to normal speed, but then slows down again. As I was trying to trouble shoot it I noticed an error message about .NET Framework. So, I uninstalled versions 1.1, 2 and 3 and then reinstalled 1.1 and 2. On boot up I now get an error message from .NET Framework:
Cannot control AcerMemUsageCheckService service
Does anyone have any ideas?
