If i have multiple accounts set up on a workgroup computer, is it possible to have a certain user account come up first  at the log in prompt

I have 2 user acccounts set up on a windows xp workgroup laptop
i want a certain user account(the account that is going to be used all the time) come up at the login prompt
For example i had an account set up with the name john smith, i went into user accounts in control panel and changed the name to doug for example but when i shut down
and boot back up.............
john smith appears all the time as the user account

not a big deal but are there any suggestions or is this the way it is suppose to work?
