Administrator Login problems

I have an XP HOme PC with three user profiles, Administrator, and two users.

On boot up I get a prompt for the administrator login with an error that pops up saying The system could not log you in (ei the password is wrong) message. When you click ok it disapears and you get the welcom screen for the two users.

How do I stop the administrator popup from appearing?

I have done the following:

Repair install
Delete the administrator profile and allowed XP to recreate a new one
