I'm trying install a purchased copy of Windows XP SP2 onto a new Dell Latitude laptop with Vista Home. I booted from the install CD, saw the 5-minutes worth of blue & white XP install CD setup screens, got to the Setup (press Enter) / Repair (press R) / Quit (press F3) screen, selected Setup, and I arrived at a screen stating, "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer."
Some details...
1) The computer boots fine into Vista Home.
2) I have a several installation CDs for Windows XP. I tried the same process with two of these CDs and saw the same "did not find hard disk" error.
What's going on? What do I need to do to get past this?
