"View workgroup computers" icon double click issue with XP Prof SP3

I have got XP Prof SP3 installed on the Toshiba Satellite A-100 Laptop.

Recently I realized when I double click View workgroup computers icon nothing appear.


I though that might be due to virus and spy ware threats, I scanned my system with many tools offline and online, but it sounds to be not a virus or malicious threat.

What can cause this problem ?
